Bio

Michael Ip is a photojournalist and photo editor based in New York City. He is currently the features photo editor for the New York Daily News.

Michael graduated from Lehigh University in 2002 with a degree in Computer Science. He served four years in the U.S. Army, including 15 months in Iraq. During his time in Iraq he forged friendships with embedded journalists that influenced him to follow their paths.

Michael spent a year and a half studying photojournalism at Western Kentucky University.

He is available for freelance work in the New York City area. Freelance clients include The Humane Society, The National Football Foundation, Rebel Nation and The Des Moines Register.
